Create a simple ring. 1. Begin by finding your ring size. Find your size with the RING SIZERS. Wrap a piece of SCRAP WIRE ( not the fine silver argentium) around the RING MANDREL at the location of your size and twist the ends together tightly. (pic a) Snip the wire opposite the twist and flatten out the curved ends. (pic b&c) You will use this to measure the wire you will use for the actual ring. Put tape over the twisted ends and label with your size number. 2. Cut your wire for your ring using the measuring tool you just made. FILE the ends so they are perfectly flat. If you want to flatten the wire in the ROLLING MILL do that before you file. The rolling mill will stretch the metal so you will have to measure and snip it again. 3. Hammer the ring ends together using the RING MANDREL and the RAWHIDE MALLET. 4. Prepare the ring for soldering. NOTE: It is easier to stretch a ring that is too tight than it is to make it smaller if it is too big. So err on the smaller side if necessary.
